My name is Joel Pierre, a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Nurse Practitioner licensed in Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey with over 15 years of nursing experience. I’m holding a bachelor’s degree from Chamberlain University and a master’s degree with a concentration in psychiatry from Walden University. I’m a dedicated community psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with extensive experience in public and private inpatient and outpatient settings, who continues active clinical practice with seriously mentally ill and dually diagnosed patients. I’m the founder and CEO of Jericho Healthcare. Mental health has always been my areas of clinical expertise and interest include working with clients across the whole lifespan, such as individuals suffering from mental illness, healthcare professionals, first responders, military populations, LGBTQ population, those seeking medications management and treatment for the first time. I have been in nursing for the past 25 years; I have worked as a registered nurse in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, home care, and subacute units. However, in the last five years, I have focused on mental/ behavioral health. Currently, I work at RWJBH/Monmouth Medical Center in the outpatient behavioral health clinic and provide psychiatric inpatient care and consultative services on medical floors. My professional dedication lies in fostering a culture of health and equity and delivering personalized, high-quality care to patients with mental health issues.
